Val’s Restaurant and Lounge, one of Daly City’s classic haunts for dinner and cocktails, will pull the plug on its recognizable neon sign and close its doors by the end of the year.
Val’s co-owner Greg Taylor confirmed to The Chronicle that the business will be closing permanently in December, though a final date has not yet been set. He declined to provide further details.
