Student nutrition programs in Brighton elementary schools have received a healthy boost from the Brighton and District Curling Club (BDCC).
The curling club has donated $1,150 to Brighton Public School, Spring Valley Public School, and Smithfield Public School for their programs that provide students with nutritious meals and snacks.
The BDCC held a silent auction, which featured wares provided by local businesses to be auctioned off, and then donated a portion of the money raised to Northumberland Food for Thought (NFFT).
NFFT works to ensure all children in Northumberland County attend school well-nourished and ready to learn with daily access
