A new coffee shop will be opening soon in Pineville, followed later in the year by an Asian fusion restaurant at the Shoppes at McCullough development.

When the doors open Jan. 10, customers will be able to walk in or drive through Biggby Coffee to grab a cup of coffee, a tea latte or a strawberry steamer from its special kids menu — something not often found at most coffee shops. The Ann Arbor, Michigan-based coffee shop has over 300 locations in 13 states.

Other tenants joining the shopping center at the intersection of Miller Road and Highway 51 in early to mid-2023 include a nail salon and a dentist’s office, MPV Properties announced.

Meanwhile, an Asian fusion restaurant is in the works for the Shoppes at McCullough’s second building, expected to be completed in fall 2023. The 3,300-square-foot restaurant will include indoor dining, patio seating and takeout service, plus a full bar.

Vivian Wong, the owner of the yet-unnamed restaurant, described offering Asian cuisine that will be “handcrafted authentically” with fresh ingredients in a modern, fine dining space. Dishes will include Fried Scallop with XO Sauce, Beef and Pineapple Fried Rice, Creamy Fruit Shrimp and Pork Cartilage Ramen.
