Kurt Janowsky has a history of operating a restaurant on the east side of the St. Joseph River.

Janowsky, who owns and operates several local restaurants and venues under the Navarre Hospitality name, initially cut his teeth in the restaurant business at Captain Alexander’s Moonraker, later renamed the Wharf, located along the East Bank near Colfax bridge.

“It was by far the busiest restaurant in the area,” he said. “And I really am looking forward to getting back to the same location and the next generation of great restaurants and great dining in this city — it doesn’t get any better than this.”

Janowsky will be behind the new Cascade Restaurant located on the ground floor of the new the Three-Twenty at the Cascade building along Colfax  Avenue on the east side of downtown South Bend.
