New York City restaurant Serendipity unveils $200 french fries

The Federal Reserve chair, always on the lookout for signs of inflation, might want to drop by Manhattan’s Upper East Side, where a $200 plate of french fries stretches the definition of haute cuisine.

The restaurant Serendipity 3 already claims world records for the most expensive burger ($295) and ice cream sundae ($1,000), so if the question is, “You want fries with that?” its answer is a resounding yes.

Guinness World Records certified the feat. As of July 13, the fries are officially the most expensive on Earth.

The couple behind F & R Wine Imports has une passion for wines made with minimal chemical and technological intervention—essentially, wines made with grapes grown, harvested, and vinified without modern manipulation.

Laurent Veyet’s tasting menu is not for the faint-hearted, but may point to the future of feeding a booming world population – there is a prawn salad with yellow mealworm, crunchy insects on a bed of vegetables and chocolate-coated grasshoppers.

French dairy company to acquire Yoplait’s European business | 2021-03-24

PARIS – French dairy cooperative Sodiaal has entered into an agreement with General Mills, Inc., Minneapolis, to acquire a controlling interest in Yoplait SAS in exchange in for full ownership of Yoplait’s Canadian business and a reduced royalty rate for the use of the Yoplait and Liberte brands in the United States and Canada. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2021.

Yoplait SAS generated $740 million in fiscal 2020, according to General Mills. The business includes assets in France, the United Kingdom and certain other markets.
