Kali and Kris Kelnero sat with Strom Peterson at a table outside the Vinbero wine bar in the former Cheesemonger’s Table space in downtown Edmonds. I noticed a sign that gave me hope they’d soon be open. I circled back and was able to speak with Kali on the forward momentum of this new venture.

The Kelneros, owner of craft cocktail bar Kelnero, took over the Cheesemonger’s Table space from Peterson and wife Maria Montalvo, and have been working to transform it into Vinbero.

ASHEVILLE – The S&W Market, Asheville’s first food hall, has announced plans to open to the public June 16 at 11:30 a.m. The collection of independent restaurants and beverage purveyors takes over the iconic S&W Building at 56 Patton Ave.

Built in 1929, the historic downtown building was designed by architect Douglas Ellington and remains a showcase of classic art deco beauty and intricate architectural details. In 2017, the building was purchased by Ellington’s two nephews, Douglas and Kenneth Ellington, of Ellington Realty Group.

After nearly an hour-long circuit, the VIP tour of the Culinary Institute of the South, set to open this fall, landed back on the first floor in space that will house the future Technical College of the Lowcountry’s Foodseum in Buckwalter Place Commerce Park in Bluffton.

The International House of Pancakes is going fast-casual with an all new restaurant concept.

According to a Dine Brands press release issued on Thursday, customers will soon be able to get made-to-order meals at flip’d by IHOP.

The first flip’d location will debut in New York City this summer, according to the release. Additional locations are currently being “explored for later this year” in Lawrence, Kansas; Columbus, Ohio and Dublin, Ohio.
