The name Freda Wobberton chose for her new restaurant — Fre’Duh’s Scratch Kitchen — tells a little something about how people react to her food.

They tell her it’s delicious, she said.

“And we say, ‘Well, duh!,'” Wobberton said.

She’s planning to open the restaurant June 1 at 401 S. Mobberly Ave., where King’s Hot Links previously was located.

The pandemic leveled many local businesses over the last year, but a restaurant in Edmond found a way to survive.

Josh and Michelle Spurlock’s dream came true last year when they opened BlueJ’s Rockin’ Grill.

“We wanted to transfer into a brick and mortar,” Michelle Spurlock said. “We found out about this and we live in Edmond and we thought it would be good to be part of this community, so we decided we would give this a shot.”
