Brooklyn Park Hotel Worker Named ‘Hospitality Rockstar’

In Brooklyn Park, a deserving honor for someone who works in an industry that has endured some challenging times.

Minneapolis Northwest Tourism honored one of its longtime hotel workers, Oscar Rosalez, with its “hospitality rockstar” award.

Described as a “jack of all trades,” Rosalez works at the La Quinta Inn and Suites in Brooklyn Park.

He first started as a housekeeper, then transitioned to maintenance and supervisory work.

NYC Ruth’s Chris Steak House patron stabs another diner in back during spat with restaurant worker: Cops

A diner at a New York City Ruth’s Chris Steak House grew so irate over another customer’s spat with a restaurant worker that she stabbed the patron in the back before ditching the restaurant, police said Saturday.

Chaos unfolded at the Ruth’s Chris Steak House on West 51st Street in Manhattan around 10:15 p.m. Friday, after a 24-year-old diner and a worker began arguing, the New York Police Department (NYPD) said.

Prescott Valley Wendy’s worker accused of assault after customer complained about order

Officials with the Prescott Valley Police Department say they have arrested a fast food worker in connection with an assault incident that left a customer with serious injuries.

According to a statement, 35-year-old Antoine Kendrick of Prescott was arrested for alleged aggravated assault, stemming from an incident that happened on July 26 at a fast food restaurant in Prescott Valley.

Outrage after man accused of killing Chinese food delivery worker released on bail

The widow of a Chinese food delivery worker who was fatally shot is speaking out after her husband’s alleged killer was released on bail.

Glenn Hirsch, 51, was arrested in New York City on June 1 for the alleged murder of Zhiwen Yan, a Chinese food delivery worker, who was shot in the chest on April 30 while riding his scooter in the neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens.

A judge ordered Hirsch to be released to home confinement on Monday after posting $500,000 in bail.

Maskless man stabs restaurant worker after he’s refused service: cops

A Texas man repeatedly stabbed a Jack in the Box manager who confronted him for entering the restaurant without a mask, police said. 

The suspect, James Schulz, 53, who is believed to be homeless, strolled maskless into the League City burger joint around 8 p.m. Wednesday, the city’s police department said.

He was told he needed to wear a mask in order to be served, or use the drive-thru instead, authorities said.
